Frequently Asked Questions

Is WaaP an Account Abstraction wallet?

WaaP can be used as a signer for account abstraction wallets. However, WaaP uses 2PC which we believe has significant additional features such as instant transactions, cross-chain UX, and no single point of failure in a smart contract.

Is WaaP self custodial?

Yes, WaaP is a protected self custodial wallet using 2PC(-MPC) to protect assets with self-custody.

Is WaaP safe and has it been audited?

WaaP protects against common attack vectors along with uncommon ones that even browser and hardware wallets do not protect against. WaaP and the tools developed by Holonym Foundation have been audited by numerous companies such as Cure53, Hexens, Least Authority, and Halborn.

For more details, please refer to Audit and Security Partners page.

Can I white label WaaP?

Yes, WaaP can be white labeled for your dApp or website. Just reach out to our team.

What is 2PC MPC and why is it different?

2PC MPC give the highest level of security without compromising on UX.

Security: only the user who can prove ownership can access his/her keys and recover a wallet if needed.

UX: with 2PC MPC experience no multi chain restrictions and greater flexibility with spend limits, simplified social logins, and proactive transaction security.

Why WaaP is different from WaaS?

WaaP is Free wallet powered by a decentralized network secured by Ethereum proof of stake. And Silk offers more flexibility than a WaaS when it comes to key recovery, and ZK Identity features. On top of that, WaaP users can mint a Proof of Personhood and recover their wallet by proving their identity in ZK.

Are silksecure.net and wallet.hu.mn safe to use? The website does not have the same URL of silk.sc

Yes, this is to protect against same-origin privileges. The wallet is a different domain name to prevent the rest of our websites from accessing its data.
